Shah Rukh Khan’s Superhero Transformation
The 61-year-old King Khan has undergone an incredible physical transformation for this role, training with celebrity fitness trainer Prashant Sawant for over 18 months. The makers spent ₹45 lakhs just on SRK’s superhero costume, which was designed by Hollywood costume designer Alexandra Byrne who previously worked on Marvel’s Thor and Doctor Strange.
Farah Khan revealed that Shah Rukh’s character ‘Arjun Singhania’ gains supernatural powers after discovering an ancient amulet in the caves of Ajanta, Maharashtra. Matlab, it’s giving serious desi superhero vibes yaar!

The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes:
- Deepika Padukone as the lead actress earning ₹25 crores

Red Chillies Entertainment has partnered with Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films for this mega-budget venture. The VFX work is being handled by Industrial Light & Magic (the same studio behind Star Wars) with an allocated budget of ₹120 crores just for special effects.
Shooting Locations and Technical Brilliance
The film has been shot across spectacular locations including the palaces of Udaipur, the mountains of Ladakh, and specially constructed sets at Film City Mumbai. Director of Photography Roger Deakins (known for Blade Runner 2049) has been roped in to handle the cinematography.
Sahi hai yaar, they’ve even built a massive 40,000 square feet superhero training facility at Mehboob Studios, which cost them ₹8 crores. The action sequences are being choreographed by the team that worked on Fast & Furious and John Wick series.

The Great Grand Superhero is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 12, 2026 (Dhanteras), with over 4,500 screens across India and 1,200 international screens. Trade analysts predict an opening day collection of ₹65-70 crores, potentially making it the biggest Bollywood opener of 2026.
