Arre yaar, Amazon Prime just dropped another desi movie and honestly, the trailers looked pretty solid. But you know how it is – trailers can be deceiving AF, and we don’t want to waste our weekend on something boring.

So let’s break down what this new release is all about and whether you should add it to your watchlist or not.

What’s This New Movie About?

The movie stars some pretty decent actors – not A-listers but definitely not newcomers either. It’s one of those family drama types with a modern twist, matlab the usual Indian family problems but set in today’s world.

The plot revolves around a middle-class Mumbai family dealing with generational differences. Sounds familiar? Haan bhai, we’ve seen this before, but apparently this one has some fresh takes.

Runtime is around 2 hours 15 minutes, which is pretty standard for Bollywood. At least it’s not one of those 3-hour long movies that test your patience.

The Good Stuff

Let me tell you what actually works in this movie:

  • Acting is surprisingly solid – no over-the-top drama that makes you cringe
  • Music is catchy yaar, already added two songs to my playlist
  • Production quality looks good, not like those low-budget films
  • Dialogues feel natural – finally someone who writes how people actually talk
  • Mumbai locations are shot beautifully, proper nostalgic vibes

The lead actress especially delivers a strong performance. She’s been doing web series for a while and it shows – her acting feels genuine.

Where It Falls Short

But honestly, it’s not all perfect. There are some issues that might bug you:

  • Second half drags a bit – could’ve been tighter
  • Some plot points are predictable, matlab you’ll see the twists coming
  • Few supporting characters feel unnecessary
  • Climax is a bit too convenient, real life isn’t that simple

Also, if you’re expecting action or thriller elements, this isn’t for you. It’s purely drama with emotional moments.

Should You Watch It This Weekend?

Dekhiye, if you’re in the mood for a decent family drama that doesn’t insult your intelligence, go for it. It’s not groundbreaking cinema, but it’s watchable.

Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon when you want something light but meaningful. Plus, it’s included in your Prime subscription anyway, so no extra cost.

Rating from my side would be 3.5/5. Not amazing, but definitely not a waste of time either.

Mujhe lagta hai it’s worth one watch, especially if you enjoy slice-of-life stories. Just keep your expectations moderate and you’ll probably enjoy it. What do you think – will you be adding this to your weekend watchlist?
