Party का Foundation और Mamata Banerjee का Rise
Mamata Banerjee ने 1998 में Congress छोड़कर TMC बनाई थी। उस time उन्होंने कहा था कि Bengal में Congress का proper representation नहीं हो रहा। Railway Minister के रूप में उनका experience काफी helpful रहा था।
2011 में Left Front को हराकर West Bengal में government बनाना – matlab यह था एक historic moment yaar। 34 साल बाद CPI(M) की government गिरी थी।

2026 में TMC का position काफी strong है Bengal में। Lok Sabha में party के 29 MPs हैं, जो third largest party बनाता है nationally। Assembly में 215 seats के साथ clear majority है।
